About Trish Lawrence
I’m writing about getting my creativity back and learning the art of calmness. I get burnt out a LOT by modern religious trappings, by modern culture, by the endless stream of consumerism blinking at us like the lights in Vegas. I get weary of taking it all in. I want to learn how to take 1,000 pounds of pressure by letting creativity and grace push back with 1,001 pounds of calming pressure. I want to conquer the vapid things of this world. I want to be alive.
I’m a kid’s book author. My most recent kid’s picture book was A Royal Princess published by Tormont Publications in 2007 (in Canada only). My gift book titles are Hugs for Dad and Hugs for Mom, published in 1999 by Publications International. I also did another seven-book gift book line for Publications International in 1998 as coauthor. I’m now working on several young adult novel projects, including a novel about love versus the pressure of conformity and a novel about forgiveness.
This blog is a result of me being an introvert. I try to learn everything as fast as I can, thus I have piles of books, spend way too much time online, and don’t have too much to show for it all. I do write everyday and am in a fantastic writer’s group.
Any comments are welcome. Please follow me on Twitter @trishlawrence or on Facebook, especially if you’re a writer. I love meeting authors!
