I’m writing a memoir about my experiences in Protestant patriarchal Quiverfull. This is a new adventure for me and I’m not interested in throwing stones (we’ve had quite enough of that!) My goal is to simply tell my story. I’m not trying to tell anyone how to live. I’m not trying to point out mistakes in anyone else’s life. I’m telling my story. I know it hurts. That’s why I’ve got to write it.

I’m a kid’s book author. My titles are Hugs for Dad and Hugs for Mom, published in 1999 by Publications International. I also did a gift book line for Publications International in 1998. My most recent kid’s picture book was A Royal Princess published by Tormont Publications in 2007. I’m now working on several young adult novel projects.

This blog is a result of me being an introvert. I try to learn everything as fast as I can, thus I have piles of books, spend way too much time online, and don’t have too much to show for it all. I do write everyday and am in a fantastic writer’s group.

So, I’m writing a memoir. My other plans for 2010 are to work really hard and prepare a novel for representation. It is a middle grade novel series. I’m also working on a historical novel (a la To Kill A Mockingbird).
