Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected and still reeling from the effects of this day eight years ago. God bless you.

I’ve been reading memoirs like it’s going out of style. The past 8 weeks (two months!) have been memoir-bound. It’s good. I’ve enjoyed learning about people from all sorts of stripes and polka dots (we’re all loved so very much).
I’ve read:
Julia Child, My Life In France (recommended by my sister, and I think my childhood friend, Heidi)
Alison Smith, Name All the Animals
Geoffrey Wolff, Duke of Deception
Sy Montgomery, The Good Good Pig
Terry Tempest Williams, Finding Beauty in a Broken World
All are fantastic. Wolff’s Deception is dark and I admit I hurried through it, but I savored Child’s Life in France and Montgomery’s Good Pig.
Up for the next set of books is fiction.
Two books by Stieg Larson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire and the historical YA series by Libba Bray, A Great and Terrible Beauty, The Sweet Far Thing, and Rebel Angels. All look so amazing! I love diving into a series and multiple books by the same author. I feel almost gluttonous!
Have a great weekend all!
