in Friday Reading Round-Up

This week has been tough (that happens when you go on a vacation). Suddenly, you come back to your work and you can’t remember what you’re supposed to do first. You look at your work to-do list and think “where to begin?”

Well, anyway, in between my work, I’ve been sneaking peeks at a few books I picked up in Friday Harbor at the wonderful Harbor Bookstore (right next to the ferry dock).

A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry is on the BBC’s list of 100 books. They didn’t think the average reader had read more than six books on this list. My goal is to read them all!

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell
. Another on the BBC 100 British books list. Nice and short, this is perfect for when I desperately need a break from trying to figure out work!

I finished a couple of other books previously mentioned on this blog while we were in the San Juan Islands. It was a nice reading break. Ahhh, I want to go back!
