Write Now: The First Time I Saw Her

Ten-minute exercise time!

Set the timer for ten minutes. Use a computer or a blank sheet of paper. Write “The first time I saw her” and then keep going with whatever comes to your mind until the timer goes off.

I find these exercises jump start my creativity (I usually write about a character I already have) and then I’m off to more writing on my current work in progress.

If you want to, post your exercise in the comments. If not, no worries! I’ll post mine later on.

Now, ready, set, go write!
