real/brilliant review: A Bible Organized Chronologically, Rather Brilliant

The Chronological Study Bible: New King James Version is a fascinating
look at how the Scriptures are melded with history. Regardless of your
religious viewpoint, a study of this volume will help you to understand
the foundations of much of our classical, medieval, and modern culture.
We may think we have fully escaped the biblical foundation, but our
literature still teems with scriptural alliteration, and it will only
further your study into literature and religion to get and read this
book. Disagreement is part of study. Reading the Chronological Study
Bible will sharpen your mind and what a fabulous way to do so.

The most interesting aspect to me was the Psalms. Rather than all
in one bunch in one place in the Bible (as in the canonical version
most of us are familiar with), each Psalm is placed specifically where
it happens in real-time history, with other sections of other books. I
love the book of Psalms, but what a treat to read a particular Psalm in
the context of when it was written. Since most of the Psalms were
written by David, I felt as if I got more of an insight into the life
of David by this organizational method.
