Hankering to Travel

I really, really have the travel bug. I think it’s because a year ago I was one week away from leaving for three weeks in Italy, the Balkans, and Greece. A year ago I was in that picture! Well, not exactly in it, but standing at the pier near St. Mark’s Square in the picture above as the bells tolled and the pigeons flurried overhead. Venice was fabulous!

And I’m ready to return. Unfortunately, it’s just not in the cards for 2010. But Venezia, I will be back, my beloved city built on waterways, I will be back. I miss your bridges and canals and fabulous outdoor seating at dinner. I miss the noise and clanging of your clogged streets and squares. I miss the crowded water taxis glommed full of tourists and locals. I miss your history.

It’s been a very nice and quiet non-blogging month (as you have probably noticed) but I’m about to be back to blogging with a new updated purpose and some tweaks to the blog. I’m excited and I can’t wait to be back!

Happy end of April! I can’t believe it!

Ohhhh, I love this!!! ME TOO! ME TOO!! If I find buried treasure I’ll share it with you (and Todd!!) and we’ll go gallivanting to our hearts content. :-)

Let’s GO and stay a month. I want to soak up Venice and just sit and watch and walk and breathe and smile and laugh and dance. Yeah, I’m loopy for Venice! It’s all your fault, Krista. :)

Meg, thank you! I just adore this picture by Brooke. She was just there last week and I have been daydreaming about it ever since! Glad to be back!
