I’m wiped out and dreaming about this view today. I think there’s multiple reasons for it. We’ve had a really super fun two months of traveling and company. Lots of emotion for Haiti this week. Lots of “stuff” I’m working through. God is good.
Today’s Friday Fiver will be subdued. I’m so glad it’s Friday, but there is still not yet relief for those still suffering.
1. Pray for Haiti. It’s not going to be good there for a while. Relief is racing their way with expected arrivals all weekend. The people have waited already for days. They need more help than humans can give right now. The Haitians can’t even leave if they wanted to (or could).
2. We’re staying low this weekend. Probably just some quiet time, a movie, reading, writing, rest.
3. Tylenol recall? What is going on? Rolaids, Tylenol Extra Strength? Be careful everybody.
4. Give to Haiti relief. My writing teacher, Brenda Peterson, has a great list of places for donations here.
5. Hug your loved ones. We’ve got so much to be grateful for: running, fresh water, showers, food, warm homes, medical facilities. Hug your kids, your spouses, your loved ones.
Have a good weekend. Stay safe, everyone.
