The Day Before A Holiday: I’m Scrambling

in overcoming resistance

I cannot believe it happened again this year! I ordered Christmas gifts well in advance of Thanksgiving (because of our traveling for Christmas this year, all gifts for my Oregon family have to be ready to send to Oregon) and what happens? Delay.

So I’m wrapping like a mad woman today (good thing I’m caught up on client work and just have writing to do) and the hubby thinks it’s funny to suddenly want to “test” all the fun games that we’ve bought for the 3-yr-old niece. In other words, he wants to see if the Trouble and Chutes and Ladders games are as fun as advertised (and what he remembers from being a kid). I’m about to lock him in his office.

But really, it’s the day before and there’s a sort of anticipation about it that I’ve had since I was a kid. Life seems different, the world seems more glowy, and I can’t stop dreaming about pie.

To everyone this Thanksgiving season, have a wonderful day with your family and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for, even if everything seems to be falling apart on a planning level for me. :) I’ll survive.

Happy Thanksgiving!
