Having book storage issues again. Here are some ideas that I’ve found while trolling the Internet.

This first one I love.

But we need shelves to go up super-high.

The windowseat idea Todd wants to put in on either side of our fireplace (and how we want the mantle to look).

I like the thicker divider and lower cabinets too, though.

Inspires me today.

You are making me jealous! And I even have a nice large built-in book shelf in our living room, but it’s not big enough
I’m looking forward to the day when we build our “dream” house and have a designated library…someday.
Katie,
Well, we are just figuring it out. It will be awhile before we actually decide. Todd can build it himself and so I must know exactly what I want or I’ll confuse the situation!
I love finding pics to inspire me though.
I’ll take one of each.
Bookshelves are so lovely to look at! Thanks for the peak! Love ya~
Trish, I love ALL the photos! After living 25 years in our home, we have bookshelves in several room but still need more of them! Here are some pictures of what my husband built:

Drop me a note if you would like his working pattern to build them!
Look for some photos of black bookcases! It sounds strange, but you’d be amazed how the bookcase recedes and the books really POP! If I’m ever blessed with built-in bookcases, I’m painting them black.
