If you haven’t read Nie’s blog yet, what are you waiting for? After winning house of the year in 2007 (I think) from now-defunct Cookie magazine (just this week Conde Nast pulled the plug), Nie and her family (hubby and four children) looked like they were living the American dream.
A plane crash in 2008 changed everything. For a year, her readers (me included) wept, prayed, and struggled alongside this family who suffered so much. Nie and her husband were badly burned and their recovery has been heart-wrenching, but life-changing. I am not going to give much more away, but to say read Nie’s blog and watch her on Oprah today. Her faith is absolutely inspiring and breathtaking. And I’m not using all those adjectives for nothing!
