Found in the Old Fort, Corfu-town, Corfu, Greece
I’ve been fretting this week. Too much to do, not enough time. I have things I need to accomplish, but it seems my schedule is against me. And then I look at pictures like this and wonder if I jam too much into my day? How many months did it take someone to draw/copy this parchment Gospel?
Suddenly, the hurries melt away and I sit back with my newfound appreciation for life and am instantly renewed.
What was I worrying about? I’m not sure our instant society bodes well for writing. Sure, we can dash out blogs and gossip and song lyrics and recipes at the speed of sound, but can we write thoughtful pieces that stand the test of time? That will endure for over 700 years?
Today, I will take the few hours I have to write and write something I want to last a while. May it endure.

Yeah, that was pretty cool since we weren’t able to get to Ephesus or Crete or Corinth.
