I’m in charge of researching Greece for our trip. Fine by me!
After spending the entire winter studying Greek mythology, I can’t wait to get there. I’ve got my trusty Greek myths books and then found a few others this week to read.
Frommer’s Greece by Sherry Marker is interesting. I also have the Lonely Planet Guide, the DK guide to Athens and the Greek Islands and am also thinking about Rick Steves guide to Athen and The Peleponnes, even if it’s from 2008.
I’m also finding books of interest to me and my traveling companions, including:
A Guide to Biblical Sites in Greece and Turkey by Clyde E. Fant will help us connect what we’ve read in the Bible all our lives to what we are seeing while in Greece. I really wanted to get to Turkey this trip (can’t have everything), but for sure, I’ll be heading back to Cappadocia. I want to take a hot air balloon ride from Cappadocia and stay in the historical cave hotels.
