Really great article on using blogs to pitch books using Tim Ferriss 4-Hour Workweek in 2007 as a solid example.

Nickelodeon Kids voted for Barack Obama (51%) to John McCain (49%) in their own presidential voting event.

Side note: Four years ago, Nickelodeon Kids voted for John Kerry (57%) over George Bush (43%) and we all see how well that turned out. I’m intrigued by the close margins of this year’s race on Nick Kids. That is very interesting.

And in nonpolitical news, I’m happy to say my office is completely rearranged and looking so much better. Kudos to my hubby for all his design help and for moving the heavy bookcases and reconnecting all the cables and cords. I think we now have a multi-function room at last (half office/half family room).

I’m still neck deep in file sorting. Have reams of files to sort and throw out or refile and then I’m writing, writing, writing. If you have not read the latest P&W editor interview, go here and read it. Chuck Adams at Algonquin is seriously awesome. I love his down-to-earth approach to writing and stories. I would love for him to be my editor someday.
