Book Club Girl talks to author Alice Mattison about her new book, Nothing is Quite Forgotten in Brooklyn.
Yesterday while waiting to meet my husband for lunch, I stood outside the deli with a book and read. My head was down, I was engrossed in the book (Kissing Games of the World, by Sandi Kahn Shelton) and didn’t see anything else. I almost got run over twice, and a man on a phone almost ran into me while walking backward talking very loud. Never thought me standing off to the side of an entrance well out of everyone’s way would be considered a traffic jam, but there you have it.
Be careful out there lunchtime readers. It’s treacherous.
